I
Live in America...the book
"I Live In America" is the second book in a
series. It was influenced by the authors' parents who
both emigrated from Europe in the early 1900's - Elizabeths'
mother from Poland and Bob's father from Sweden. Both
of them came into America through Ellis Island and eventually
settled in Chicago. The authors have either lived in or
visited all of the places portrayed in Elizabeth's paintings,
but the collection also represent the journeys taken by
millions of immigrants and later-generation offspring
who settled in parts of the country that reminded them
of their homelands. These paintings also offer an overview
of what has happened in the past to make America great,
as well as what sustains us today.
You can enjoy these paintings in the "I Live In America"
book, notecards,
posters or by purchasing
the original artwork.
